Origin: Hawking with Emperor Maximilien is one of twelve tapestries designed by Bernard van Orley in the early 16th century. This reproduction depicts the Roman Emporer hunting in the Sonian Forest just outside of Brussels. The original set hangs in the Louvre and is deemed one of the most valuable tapestry collections in the world.
