Created using multiple types of transparent and opaque striking borosilicate glass this acorn sculpture features a hand-blown, hollow acorn suspended on a branch with transparent articulated oak leaves. 

Details 

The vivid autumnal colors are created by intentionally changing the heat and oxygen levels of the flame as the sculpture is created. 

Stephen Brucker borosilicate glass sculptures are centered on the combination of forms and structures found in nature and are aligned with themes signifying home, inclusion, and equity. Fragility, transparency, balance, and impermanence are core conceptual topics that he explores in each of his sculptures.
